Many small business owners and holistic entrepreneurs struggle to get clients or increase their business. There are more than Six billion people on this planet, so why are people struggling?

Some of the most common excuses that people give for the lack of clients are:
- there's an over supply of the same goods or services in the market
- people do not see the value of their services and so do not feel they need it
- their prices may be too high
- their services are so unique that only a handful of people are really interested
- and many more

I personally have used these excuses too. Until I realized that I have allowed these false perspectives to determine my actions and inactions.

Changing my perspectives and learning from others who have been able to consistently get clients, I realized that there are three essential keys to being a good salesperson for my business. I have used these keys and have converted potential clients to paying clients at a rate of about 90%.

The keys are not new ideas. But perhaps they are too obvious to us that we may have missed them entirely in how we can use them in our business and in being a good salesperson.

I believe that we are all selling something to someone all the time. Even kids do it. Have your kids tried to sell you ideas on what they should get for Christmas? Or how much pocket money they should receive? If you have given in, then they are actually good salespersons!

I believe that if we want to fulfill our purpose and live our lives in a whole way, then it is our moral obligation to become good salesperson for our purposeful work.

Of course there are all kinds of sleazy sales techniques out there which I personally frown on. In fact, I have shared with people who facilitate classes on sales strategies my personal opinion that I do not think the methods discussed are in integrity and I will not use them. I only want to receive truth from people and do expect that others want the same from me.

So the three essential keys to being a good salesperson are:

-- Know inside out what is YOUR true purpose for selling your services or goods. Why do you want people to buy your goods and services? What difference will it make in your life?

-- Know who you want to serve specificallyIf you don't know who you want to serve then you won't know where to go to look for them, or even know how to speak to them.

-- Know exactly the kinds of results people will get should they engage your services or buy your goodsIf you don't know, and most small business owners don't, then how can you tell people about it?

As I said, these three keys are really so obvious that most people do not think about them when they market their services. But when you go indepth into these three keys, you will find that converting potential clients to paying clients is as easy as waving a magic wand.

Give it some thought and try it out, you will be amazed by the results.
