After that, you would need now to consider of how durable the rash guard would be and again this would entirely depend on the kind of activities that you will be using it for. Saltwater and sunlight can be damaging to the rash guard so choose one that has a very tough material. You might as well consider buying a washable material in order to wash off salt deposits in the apparel when staying contact with salt water for prolonged periods.
Lastly, you need to take note of the kind of coverage you want in a rash guard. Although long-sleeved types can provide better protection than short-sleeved versions, it might be too warm to use one during prolonged periods in a hot weather and can cause dehydration.
