Cloud management is a term used to represent different approaches and technologies that are implemented in cloud computing (CC). The basic strategies that an enterprise needs in order to utilize cloud computing to the fullest have been grouped together as Integrated Cloud Service Management (ICSM) solutions. The main goal of the ICSM is lowering the cost of production of a corporation by moving to CC infrastructure. The responsibilities to be tackled in a CC operation largely determine the skills required for the proper administration.

Information management is a crucial aspect of cloud computing service providers. An Information Manager (IM) must be qualified in negotiating contracts. This is because he signs Service Level Agreement s (SLAs) with clients in such an organization. He will also need skills in asset administration, as he allocates resources such as assets to all departments in the organization. Being the overall monitor of service delivery to the clients, he requires effective supervisory skills to keep an eye on production of statements to customers and implementation of self service strategies.

The Information Manager is responsible for finding the best auditing methods for use in a CC firm. He, therefore, requires necessary skills in accounting and auditing. Since it is the work of an IM to determine the top service providers available in the market, he is required to be an excellent decision maker. Some of his work involves maintaining network connectivity; thus he shall need some technical skills as well.

Technical responsibilities in CC management are undertaken by the system administrators. Their primary roles include upkeep of operating and backup systems and maintaining databases and firewalls too. They also improve the appearance of application programs thereby making them more user friendly, in addition to enforcing collaboration between different programs in a system. To handle these tasks effectively, they need training in program design and development.

Architecture and Information Security is a fundamental aspect in CC systems of administration. Workers in the Architecture department need skills in making and enforcing policies in a firm. It is the role of the Information Security group to enforce data security measures, so they require training in aspects such as data encryption and passwords.

The Network Security department works closely with the Architecture and Information Security group. This department is responsible for ensuring that network security policies of clients are observed. They, therefore, require skills in network maintenance and safety techniques.

Backup maintenance is another area that requires specialized skills in a CC system. It is the work of backup administrators to manage these cores, which include identifying the backup requirements in a business and ensuring that a cloud provider allocates necessary resources for backup upkeep in a corporation. They should have skills in creating, maintaining and extending backup systems.

From day to day, companies keep using more and more complex data, processing techniques and application programs. Consequently, this has led to development of more complex cloud management strategies to cope with the demand. Cloud computing is considered as the next significant development in the world of computing. As such, firms must apply the latest available techniques in this field, otherwise they will not reap the best that this field has to offer.
